What's Up?

Right Now

My mountaineering journey has been remarkable! Reaching the summits of some of the world's most famous peaks across various continents is a notable achievement. I am now scheduled for a 130-mile, two-week trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal this September 2025, which stands at an elevation of 5,364 meters (17,598 feet) above sea level. Below is a summary of my other significant mountain achievements to date:

  1. Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania, January 2017) – At 5,895 meters (19,341 feet), it is the tallest peak in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. The trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro is known for its diverse ecosystems, ranging from tropical rainforests to alpine desert.
  2. Mount Elbrus (Russia, June 2018) – As the highest mountain in Europe (5,642 meters / 18,510 feet), Mount Elbrus is part of the Caucasus Range and is a popular peak for those looking to climb the Seven Summits, the highest mountains on each continent. It's a dormant volcano with a challenging ascent.
  3. Low's Peak, Mount Kinabalu (Malaysia, April 2019) – Standing at 4,095 meters (13,435 feet), Low's Peak is the highest point in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The mountain is known for its unique biodiversity and challenging yet rewarding climb, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

These climbs represent a significant achievement in mountaineering, and each offered a unique experience and set of challenges.

I have a rich and committed athletic background. Achieving my first marathon in 2015 marked a major milestone, demonstrating my determination and stamina. Additionally, my years of playing ice hockey in both a forward and goaltender positions showcase my versatility and dedication to the game.
